Hotels
A witness to the changing fortunes of the mid-market area, from its theatre district heyday to its current revival, the home of San Francisco Proper is perfectly situated at the center of the hottest neighborhood in the City of San Francisco. The building has been restored to the pure and elegant character of times past, letting the unique flatiron shape stand out as a beacon at the corner of Market and McAllister. Little shops and restaurants line the façade to create places for a morning coffee, a quick lunch or an intimate dinner beneath colorful awnings, or perched at open air windows. The hotel features 135 guest rooms, fitness facility, meeting and event rooms, award winning Villon restaurant on the ground floor and Charmaine’s rooftop bar and restaurant with panoramic views.
Santa Monica Proper introduces a looser kind of luxury to Santa Monica. Located on the corner of South Broadway and 11th Street, Downtown Los Angeles Proper revives a historic building that connects the booming Broadway district with the fashion district, the historic core, LA Live, and the Convention Center. The hotel features 148 guest rooms, three F&B outlets helmed by James Beard Award-winning L.A. chef Suzanne Goin and Caroline Styne (Lucques, a.o.c., Tavern); an intimate library-lounge, fitness center, a city-view rooftop pool, and lounge-bar-restaurant. Especially Proper are two singular, one-of-a-kind suites fashioned from the basketball court and indoor pool of the building’s sporting club past.
Currently under construction – the newest Proper destination is located in the historic heart of the Pearl District. Kor purchased the 250-room hotel in August 2017 and completely renovated the property to launch a new, approachable lifestyle brand inspired by the free-thinking soul and spirit of California. Hotel June features modern design, coastal views, two dining destinations helmed by hospitality impresario Steve Livigni from award-winning Scopa, and a Baja-inspired pool and cabana-framed deck.

Whitney East Austin is a 576-unit apartment community, consisting of 408 three-story garden style apartment units and 168 build-to-rent horizontal apartment units, in Del Valle, TX, approximately 10 miles east of downtown Austin. The development will feature a “nature-forward” approach, offering residents state-of-the-art interior finishes & amenities, such as: walking and biking trails, event lawns, dog parks, BBQ lounges, a resort-style pool and many other enticing amenities for today’s renter. Construction is anticipated to begin in Summer 2023.

Commercial
This 230,000 square foot Class A office is located in creative East Austin. The development consists of two four-story buildings and a parking garage on 3.4 acres. West of West and Gensler Architects are leading the design using precast architectural panels and a cast in place concrete structure, complete with 15’-foot ceilings flooded with natural light. The project partners include Goldman Sachs and Lincoln Property Company. Construction is underway with a target opening of Spring 2022.
