The Tides South Beach
The Tides South Beach is a 45-suite boutique hotel located on Ocean Drive in Miami Beach. Kor purchased the iconic Art Deco property, originally built in 1936, and it underwent a complete renovation and conversion in 2007 transforming the space into one of Miami’s premier boutique hotels. Kor converted the building to a single-corridor layout, allowing for oceanfront views from every room, and Kelly Wearstler oversaw all aspects of the hotel’s design. The property has received numerous accolades including being named on Condé Nast Traveler’s 2007 “Hot List” among the “World’s Best Places to Stay,” and in 2008 Gold List named it one of “The Year’s Top New Hotels.” In 2007 Travel + Leisure recognized the hotel as boasting “one of the world’s most influential designs.” Hotel amenities include La Marea restaurant, Coral Bar, gracious meeting spaces, a mezzanine level pool, and fitness center.
