Pegasus

Pegasus is a 322-unit apartment building in downtown Los Angeles’ Financial District. Kor acquired the former General Petroleum building in 2001 and completed the successful conversion from a vacant office building to an award-winning loft project. Pegasus was the first luxury apartment project in downtown Los Angeles and was ranked as one of the 20 most important projects of the last decade by Los Angeles Downtown News. The conversion and renovation garnered Pegasus numerous accolades including the 2004 American Institute of Architects’ Los Angeles Design Citation Award, the 2004 Los Angeles Conservancy Preservation Award, and the 2004 California Preservation Foundation Rehabilitation & Adaptive Reuse Award. Kor implemented a strategic amenity program, including a fitness center, business center, and rooftop swimming pool, all of which were critical to the project’s success. The project features ground-level dining destinations, Daily Grill and Caffe Primo.
