Viceroy Riviera Maya

The Viceroy Riviera Maya is a discrete, luxurious resort situated on six acres of lush tropical land with more than 350 feet of white sand beach in Playa Xcalacoco, Mexico, three miles north of Playa del Carmen. In 2006, Kor purchased the property, formerly the Ikal del Mar, and it underwent a renovation and repositioning, in 2007 reopening its doors as Tides Riviera Maya. Each of the 30 thatched-roof private villas features a plunge pool, outdoor shower, and more than 1,000 square feet of indulgent living space. The property has been recognized by Condé Nast Traveler as the “#1 Resort in All of Mexico,” and in 2008 by Travel + Leisure as “One of the World’s Top 500 Best Hotels.” The property was renamed Viceroy Riviera Maya in 2011. Hotel amenities include La Marea restaurant, a world-class spa, infinity lagoon pool, and a lounge bar offering unparalleled views of the Caribbean Sea.
